Artist in residence is one of the exquisites and the most admirable processes of Amrutvahini’s Nido International School.
It is a program designed to bring professional artist in residence to county students, grades K-12.
We aim to improve arts education for students by encouraging creativity and self-expression during 10 to 11 days under the guidance of the artist.
The students are divided into various committees such as :-
  • Script committee
  • Acting committee
  • Dance committee
  • Music committee
  • Sponsorship committee
  • Documentation Committee
  • Props committee
  • Costume committee
  • Light and sound committee
  • Assistant Directors
Students join the committees wherever their interest lies in. They try to explore their hidden talents of dance, music and visual arts; also it develops their aesthetic sense of performing arts. With the help of the renowned artist belonged to the theatre, they learn the minute details right from understanding the stage, deliverance of the dialogue, perfection in the acting and dancing skills, preparations of the costume and props for the show etc.
 It also deals and improves the communication and convincing skills of the students through the sponsorship committee. They become self-independent for raising the expenditure for their performances. Working with light and sound committee at very small age, they get aware of the technical things and manage their show without any struggle. They take the initiatives and perform the duties as AD (Assistant Director ) who equally work and guide the entire crew for the perfection and efficiency. 
 This unique creative process also creates memorable moments in the students’ lives, and these memories can be used places for core content and other information to “stick to.” They explore the various genres of literature, read a lot, imagine enormous and create the musical act or drama in order to shape their imaginations. They get an opportunity to express through scripting the storyline of the act.
 Throughout these 10 days they work day and night in different committees without getting bugged up with the work and enjoy a lot with their peers. This process enhances the values like team-work, acceptability, accountability, and respect towards the peers and scrutinize the content part in an invisible manner. It enriches and completes the emotional, social, physical, cognitive and spiritual aspect of each and every student who comes across with it.
So far we the school of ANIS had two AIR successfully and with our surprise we gained more than the expectations. Our students proved themselves professionally and intellectually. They get flourished with best content and the strongest character.
